Controversy Arises Between Sheinbaum and PAN Leader

Jorge Romero Herrero, who was elected as the national leader of the National Action Party (PAN), responded to the corruption accusations made against him by President Claudia Sheinbaum. Romero, in a shared video, thanked Sheinbaum for mentioning him, stating that these comments indicate that the PAN will continue to be relevant during this administration. Despite the accusations against him, the PAN leader expressed his commitment to public and transparent dialogue.

In his message, Romero invited Sheinbaum to reflect on the path she wishes for the country and promoted unity instead of division. Furthermore, he questioned the lack of legal evidence against him, reiterating his willingness for dialogue to reach solutions for the benefit of the citizens.

For her part, President Sheinbaum was accused by Romero of not promoting unity and of publicly defaming him. Romero urged to continue advocating for dialogue as a means to understand and address the needs of the population, while Sheinbaum maintained her initial accusations without presenting concrete evidence.
